Handle With Care Oklahoma Train the Trainer

 We invite you to join our virtual, CLEET-certified Train the Trainer Workshop: Handle With Care Oklahoma (HWC TTT). Upon completion, participants will receive 1.0 mental health CEU, Certificate of Completion, and recognized as a local Handle With Care OK Trainer. Potential trainers include first responders, school resource officers, school-based specialists, counselors, care coordinators, community coalition leaders, and community advocates. Additional CEUs TBA.

Handle With Care Oklahoma builds trust and advances existing partnerships with local law enforcement, schools, and behavioral/social/health providers in order to connect youth to needed supports after a traumatic event.

HWC OK enacts Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) and interventions that reduce absenteeism, suspensions, expulsions, truancy, drop outs, contact with the law, involvement with the juvenile justice system, and incarceration.

This Train the Trainer includes the following objectives:

1) Provide updated PowerPoint to help with local HWC OK Implementation (criteria, procedure, and response to notification)

2) Discussion of sample agreements to enhance local existing partnerships and school-based efforts

3) Strategies to increase sustainability & connection to statewide supports
